9 months!

Yesterday, Aug. 5th, was Kyan's 9 month-aversary since coming home. This is a big deal to us because now we have cared for Kyan longer than any one else did when he was in Korea. Now Jason and I have had him the LONGEST! That is pretty exciting to us!

So I will leave you with this video of Ky playing with a ball I got from the Dollar Store (best buck I've spent in a while!) He played with it for the longest time! I think he may want to sleep with it tonight! He just figured out that it bounces high on the hardwood floor. Please excuse the mess... I have a toddler! : )

My Son Sorts His Food

Yesterday when I came back to check on how Ky was doing eating his crackers, this is what I found:

He had sorted out all of the pretzel ones into to cup slot. These crackers had come in a bag that had the 2 mixed up. He ate all of the cheddar ones and left the pretzels.

Than this morning I came upon this while he was eating his breakfast:

he had sorted out all the banana and than ate all the grapes. (When I put them on his plate they were all mixed up.)

The math person in me is SO EXCITED that he is already sorting... we may have a math genius on our hands... however, the picky-eater in me is thinking... he probably just is sorting his food because he is also a picky eater!

It's Official!

We had our court hearing today. The Judged asked us some questions, we verified that we were who we say we are, and that we wanted to adopt Kyan as our son, and the judge signed the degree and now we are OFFICIALLY Kyan's parents!!

Here are some pictures, the first two are with the judge and the last 2 are with the 2 Grandmas (Jason and my moms) Who were able to be at the hearing with us.

Now all we have to do is get Ky's citizenship worked out!

My Little Cutie Pie!

Here are some pictures of my little boy being cute!

Here he is wearing one of my hats... of course when I tried to take a picture he had to take it off and than say "cheese!"

Our court date for Ky's adoption finalization is set for this Friday (7/31)! It will be nice to have that done with and than we need to work on his citizenship!

Tuggy the tug boat

Kyan got a tug boat sand box from his Auntie Anna.  It is so CUTE!  It says “Tuggy” on the front of it.  I filled it with some water the other day and Ky had a blast playing in it!  Thanks Anna!!

The ONLY firework I saw was...

This litte guy!
The full story why is here, but long story short is Kyan was crabby so we stayed home.

We still had a great 4th of July none-the-less! My parents (Mima and Pepaw) came over and babysat Kyan for us while we went to an afternoon showing of Transformers 2. We really enjoyed the movie. We came home and BBQ'd some hamburgers and brats and they went home to watch fireworks from their porch. We were planning on going to Stillwaterto see the fireworks, but ended up staying home. We got some cute shots of us in our red, white and blue!

I have been looking for a bike and bike trailer to go riding with Kyan. I found a bike at a garage sale that my SIL Sherrie was having, and I found the bike trailer on Craigslist. TOTAL price for everything was $90! Woo hoo! We took it out for a spin this weekend. Kyan loved it. It was a short ride, becuase I have not ridden a bike in probably about 10 years, and I had to go up and over a small hill. Pulling a 30 pound weight behind you makes hills much bigger deals than when you are riding alone! I am looking forward to more bike rides, I think it will be a nice way to break up the day! Here are some pictures of that!

Also, today marks the 8 month-a-versary of Kyan coming home!

I am going to do a giveaway for our 101st post (the next one) but here is a sneak peek of what you could win! I hope everyone's 4th was wonderful!
