We had our garage sale last weekend (June 12-14) and it was a lot of work, but it was a great success!
To start with, the weather forecast was to be raining and cold the whole weekend. But as I told my dad, "My God is bigger than the weather man!" and WOW did we have some great weather for garage sale-ing! On Thursday it was 75 and sunny. Friday was REALLY windy but NO rain until 6:00 after we closed the garage door. Saturday was another BEAUTIFUL day. We had lots of traffic and sold lots of items
Now to the part that everyone wants to know... How much did we make??? Jason counted all of the money (and he is pretty good at it since he is a CPA) and the grand total is..... $1157.41. WOO HOO!! God is good! He gave us great weather and lots of traffic and lots of people buying stuff!
A big THANK YOU to my parents who put in HOURS of help in to this garage sale and had it at their house. Thanks also to everyone who donated items to our sale! Without you we would not have been able to make so much money for our travel. We think we might have raised almost enough to get 1 plane ticket! Thank you God, and thank you to our friends and family who had a helping hand in this effort!
