The Children's Museum

I went to the Children's museum with Ky this week. My sister is in town and we went with all the cousins (6 of them under the age of 5) along with my mom and SIL. We were quite the group!

Ky LOVED it. Every room we went into his eyes would light up. He loves anything that spins so he would go to the steering wheels, gears, and anything else that he could get to go in a circular motion. I was pretty impressed with his ability to work with the gears. He knew which one to spin to make them all move and also figured out how to put them together. I think he may be mechanical.

Here are some pics of our time at the museum.

Forms and Flowers

Jason and I finished the forms to finalize the adoption this week and mailed them off to the county juvenile court! Now we just wait for a court date. I have no idea how long it will take for this.

Jason has been using our camara quite a bit and here are some of the shots that he took of the flowers around our house. It is so nice that spring is here!

A Big Weekend

We had a big weekend!

On Saturday Jason and I went out on our first date since Kyan came home. It has been a little over 6 months and we were excited. My mom came over and babysat for Ky and they both did great. Ky didn't even notice that we were gone! We went to see The Wolverine X-Men movie. We both really liked it!

On Sunday was my first Mother's day as a mom. Jason got Ky all ready for church. In nursery Kyan "made" me a tissue flower (really Rebecca made it and traced his hand on it- bless her heart!). Jason let me take a nap (which what I really wanted) and we went to see my mom in the early evening for dessert. For my mother's day gift Jason and I going to get flowers for the yard and my hanging hooks. It is usually what my dad gets my mom and I like the tradition so I would like to carry it on.

Today Kyan went in for his 15 months checkup. He got 4 shots. He is 25 pounds, 30 inches tall. He is in the 26th percentile for height, 57th percentile for weight and 98th percentile for head size. He is growing and developing at a normal rate.

I think we may take a few days off from all of the excitement!

6 months

Yesterday was Kyan's 6 month anniversary of coming home from Korea. We have been so blessed to have Kyan as our son!

Here are the new things that he is up to:
He will drink from a sippy cup! Only water at this point. He likes to bang it on the table more than drinking out of most times but we are making some progress in that area!

He can stand all on his own. He wont take any steps but he has the balance to stand.

He is learning baby signs. He knows the signs for: food, fan, lights, and more.

He joins in to the actions to our superman prayer.

He loves "If Your Happy and You Know it!"

He is starting to try and boss Jason and I around with his baby talk. He will point to things and make some baby talk in a very stern voice indicating what he wants us to do. If we don't do it he will repeat his baby talk in a louder voice.
He says "tee tee" for thank you.

We love our little boy more and more every day!
