Introducing...

Lanyah EunHei~
Born April 21, 2010
Placed in our arms Dec. 22, 2010
Lanyah (Pronounced La-Nigh-Ah) means Sunshine and Happiness, a person who is bright and joyous.
Eun (Pronounced like the first sound in "uno") means Mercy
Hei (Pronounced "hey") means Wisdom
{EunHei is her given Korean name}
We will call her Nyah for short.
Nyah is a very social, cheerful little girl.  She has lots of smiles and giggles for her daddy and her big brother.  She is constantly moving.  She is crawling and almost walking at 8 months.  She is going to keep us all on our toes!
She loves to eat... she has not met a food that she does not like.  She is never more excited then when there is food in front of her!
Lanyah adores her big brother and often cries when he leaves the room.  Kyan is taking the big bro role seriously and enjoys being a big helper to mommy and daddy.  However, he does not want her to touch any of his tractors!
All in all we are settling in nicely in the Norman home!   Our house is full and so are our hearts!

We're going to Korea!!

We got our travel call yesterday!  We get to bring Baby Girl home before Christmas!  AMAZING!  God is so good!  It truly is a CHRISTmas miracle!
We get to celebrate Christmas as a family this year!  What a Blessing!  Praise the Lord!

We have lots to do to get ready!  Kyan is staying with Mima and Peepa so, he will be a happy camper.

We are staying at the guest house at the agency in Korea and we get to meet our little girl on Monday at 1:00 (Korean Time)

We will be Cocooning like we did when Kyan came home for a week.... and also having Jason and I hold her for the 1st month or so, depending on how the bonding is going.   Here is the post I wrote about that last time - we are going to do the same thing.

Update on Baby Girl!

We got an update on Baby Girl last week!  It totally unexpected and wonderful.  We got pictures and video of our daughter.  It was so fun  to see her moving and hear her little voice and laugh.  Kyan LOVES to watch the "Baby Sister movies"  He asks often "When is Baby Sister coming to Ky-Guy's house?"  Soon- I hope!  We still do not have a date or a real time line of when we are traveling.

I called the USCIS officer that is in charge of our paper work for Jason and I to get cleared to bring Baby Girl home.  She said she already processed our paper work and we should get our notice in about a week!  This is a HUGE answer to prayer.  We did not want our paper work holding us up from bringing her home.  Now, we wait for her paper work to be cleared.

Also with all the goings-on in North and South Korea we are more anxious then ever to bring her home before it gets really ugly over there.  Our agency has been in contact with the Korean agency the all is well with our Baby and our process... at this point it is not effecting it.  But if it gets worse it could!  Just another thing to add to our prayer list:  Bring our Baby home soon, and help North Korea keep it cool!

SNOW!!!

We got about 6-8 inches of snow yesterday.  Kyan could not wait to go outside and play in the snow.

We did a little of this...

...and a little of this...

...and made one of these!
It was so fun! Kyan LOVED the snow!  Such a diffference from last year!

Gotcha Day and Citizenship

Friday Nov 5th was Kyan's Gotcha Day!  Kyan Came home from Korea on Nov. 5th 2008!  I cannot believe that is has been 2 years since we were in Korea all together! And It looks like we will be back there again soon! What a blessing!

I am filing Kyan's paperwork to get his Certificate of Citizenship.  Since we finalized Kyan's adoption here in the States he is already a US Citizen... we just need to Certificate to prove it!  I filled out the 8 page form, gather all my supporting documents, wrote my check and now it is in the mail!  It is a load off my back to have this done!  {Now I just have to do one more time for Baby Girl!}

Update on Baby Girl:
Jason and I get fingerprinted On Nov. 23rd (so we wont be traveling before that) and then we wait to get cleared to bring home our daughter.  We are really really hoping that she will be home for Christmas!  Please say a little prayer for us when you think of it!

May the Force be with you!

This year the Normans decided to have a star wars  theme for Halloween!  Jason was Han Solo, Fawnda was Princess Leia, and Kyan was our little Ewok.  We had a great time at our church festival.

When I asked Ky-guy what his favorite part of the pumpkin party was he said "I liked picking out the candy!  Can I have a treat now?"

There were games, a bounce house, food, friends and lots of fun!

Here are some pics for you!

We are ready! {even though we are not ready!}

We are ready to bring our daughter home... but our house is no where near ready!  :)

We talked with our Country Specialist about the timing of when we could expect to bring Baby girl home and we were told that it is normally 10-14 weeks from when you hand in your paper work.  But that the last people who traveled to that same  agency in Korea traveled after 6 (yes SIX) weeks.  So where does that put us, you ask?

6 Weeks: Nov 19th {Thanksgiving is Nov. 25th}
10 Weeks: Dec 17th {Christmas is Dec 25th}
14 Weeks: Jan 14th

So basically the holidays and a very busy time!

When I first heard this news I basically freaked out.  We had already had one week go by and we had not done much to get ready and now we only had 5 weeks left!  We were SOOOO not ready!

 So, it took another week for my head to get in the right place and now I hope she comes home soon!  Ready or not we want our baby girl home!  :)  I mean she could be home for Christmas... It is not a for sure but wouldn't that be AWESOME!

Baby Girl's Dossier

Dossier-French for "a bundle of papers"

We got all of the paperwork (called the Dossier) together to accept baby girl's referral and handed it in to our agency yesterday (Friday)!  The agency checked it over to make sure everything was there (they said it looked perfect!) and then sent it on to Korea!

Now we have to wait for Baby Girl to get cleared from Korea to come to the USA and also Jason and I have to be cleared from the USA to bring Baby Girl home.  This will probably take 3-4 months... although I am not that sure about the timing!  I am going to e-mail our country specialist and ask more questions about timing and traveling next week.

Think Pink!

We are so excited to announce that we got a referral for a baby girl this week!
We have a DAUGHTER!

This was SIGNIFICANTLY faster than what we were told.  We were told that we would have to wait 12-15 months for a referral so, we were not expecting this blessing!

God is so good!  We never in our wildest dreams thought that we would be getting a referral so fast!  It goes to show you what prayer can do!  We know that we have a lot of people praying for us!

We cannot post pictures on the blog until our princess is home so, sorry you will have to wait.
